  September 2009:
The latest Azusa Pacific Leaping Leader…for the Month of September is Pastor Randy Howard of the Gate Church of the High Desert were he has served as Senior Leader for the past eight years. Randy has a strong burden for family development. He has worked in the community to help strengthen the family unit and keep it strong and successful. He personally mentors couples regarding marriage and rearing children in the ways of Jesus Christ. He helped to organize the Victor Valley Pastor’s Prayer group and works to mobilize the churches to serve together in assisting our city leaders to better our community.

Congratulation to Mary Kay who was recently awarded the Azusa Pacific University’s

award at the Victor Valley KARES event on August 15th at the Mall of Victor Valley.

Mary Kay of Hesperia consistently works to support numerous local charities in the Victor Valley
by collecting and distributing food, clothing, and other needed items. She distributes the collected
item to organizations such as those serving the homeless, recovering dependent programs, battered
women shelters and other organizations, for over 30 years. And at 89 years young she shows no signs
of slowing down. She was awarded a brand NEW FLATT SCREEN TV from MIDWAY HOME SOLUTIONS
and a glass etched Trophy from “Gotta Get it Designs”. The event is an annual event hosted by the Mall of
Victor Valley, and sponsored by K-FROG 103.1 FM and features the “KinderVsion” child safety program,
