 THE BEST KEPT SECRET AT THE K-FROG STATIONS

A graduate of the International Spy Academy, (next to the woman's dorms at San Francisco State University) Mr. Pond has been in radio for over 20 years. (That's his cover!) Using various "alias' " Pond,.. James Pond, has been with "The Frog" since its inception. He, along with afternoon drive personality "Hoppy," are the longest running K-FROG employees on the staff. There are several reasons for their longevity. Hoppy,.. because he's good. James,… because they can never find him when they want to fire someone! Not having a box in the front office is the key according to Mr. Pond. "If you don't have a personal box up front, when the boss looks them over to see who he wants to fire, your name won't be there!"
Even though, recently, James was required to have a box "up front," he uses various alias' and assumes different positions at the station to keep the management confused. Once again "they can't fire you if they don't know your name." At times he can be heard doing news as Steven John, other times he's technical director when the Frogmen are broadcasting from a remote location.
We can't reveal any more details about the different hats he wears for fear of compromising the operation. We can tell you that James Pond and Raider BO are official members of the "RAIDER NATION" Fans of the Oakland Raiders. Mr. Pond keeps fit by "running when ever he sees the boss," "shooting hoops" (LAKERS FAN!) and by skipping to work. Although that's never been proven.
How can you contact him? Even though the boss may never be able to find him, you can catch him from 12 - 6am Saturday mornings on KFROG 95.1 KFRG (or whenever else they need him)
